California Transparency in Supply Chain Act of 2010

New Leaf Community Markets is committed to conducting its business in a lawful and ethical manner. New Leaf Community Markets expects that its vendors also conduct themselves in such a manner. New Leaf Community Markets has implemented policies and procedures in an attempt to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its supply chain.

As a condition of doing business with New Leaf Community Markets, vendors must agree that they shall not use any form of slavery or human trafficking in their supply chains. Vendors also must ensure that any subcontractor used in manufacturing or distribution of any product sold to New Leaf Community Markets complies with the same standards.

New Leaf Community Markets implements a verification process which is used to evaluate and address risks of slavery and human trafficking in the supply chain.

New Leaf Community Markets performs audits of its vendors to monitor the ongoing compliance with New Leaf Community Markets policies. These audits are conducted on both an announced and unannounced basis.

New Leaf Community Markets provides training periodically on slavery and human trafficking to company employees and management who have responsibility for supply chain management. The training includes awareness of slavery and human trafficking risks in the supply chain and efforts to mitigate those risks.

New Leaf Community Markets maintains internal accountability standards and procedures for employees and/or contractors failing to meet company standards regarding slavery and trafficking. These standards are enforced by management. It is expected that all employees and contractors comply with these standards.
